мира, подготовленный журналом
Times Higher Education.
На его основе выпустили рейтинг лучших вузов Европы, попросту выбросили вузы США,
занимавшие то ли половину, то ли треть списка а в верхней части - больше половины,
а вместе с ними- 6 или 7 университетов из Канады,Австралии, Сингапура, Китая и Японии.
На первом месте тоже был американский университет, если кто интересуется глубже,для
тех внизу материала дам ссылку на мировой рейтинг, а если хватит места так и весь
рейтинг.
На первом месте в Европе по числу хороших
университетов на душу населения оказались Великобритания и Германия.
Лучшими университетами в Европе, по версии THE, оказались Оксфордский и Кэмбриджский университеты. В первую десятку вошли учебные заведения Великобритании, Швейцарии, Швеции и Германии
Пять российских вузов вошли в рейтинг лучших университетов Европы
Московский государственный университет (МГУ) имени М. В. Ломоносова занял 79 место. Также в перечень попали Санкт-Петербургский государственный политехнический университет (113 место), Томский политехнический университет (136 место), Казанский федеральный университет (152 место) и Национальный исследовательский ядерный университет МИФИ (164 место).
Ложка дегтя: по числу хороших университетов на душу населения
мы все же оказались после Испании. Которая на предпоследнем месте.

Times Higher Education World University Rankings data reveal the top 200 universities in Europe

The UK has topped a ranking of the 200 best universities in Europe, taking nearly a quarter of places (46).
The universities of Oxford and Cambridgeand Imperial College London achieved the highest scores of all higher education institutions in the continent, based on the data and methodology used to compile the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016.
The rest of the top five is filled by Switzerland’s ETH Zurich – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and the UK’s University College London (UCL).

Institutions were measured on their teaching environment, research environment, citations (research influence), industry income and international outlook.
Germany is the second most-represented nation in the list of the top universities in Europe, with 36 institutions, almost a third of which (11) are in the top 50. The top university in Germany is LMU Munichin 10th place.
While Italy boasts 19 universities, its top-ranked institution – Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa – only just makes the top 50.

Elsewhere in Europe, Scandinavian countries perform well, with Sweden and Finland punching above their weight relative to their population size with 11 and six institutions respectively. Sweden’s top university – Karolinska Institute – is in ninth place while Finland’s University of Helsinki makes the top 30 (joint 28).
Other strong performers relative to population size include Denmark (six universities – led by the University of Copenhagen at 33rd), the Republic of Ireland (six – led by Trinity College Dublinat 78th) and Switzerland (nine).

The east and south of Europe however generally score poorly in the ranking. Russia underperforms in the table, with just five institutions in the top 200 and one in the top 100 (Lomonosov Moscow State University at 79th) making it the lowest-ranked country relative to its population and GDP, although it ranks highly relative to its GDP per capita. Meanwhile Spain has only five universities, topped by Autonomous University of Barcelona at 70th, and is the second-lowest country when ranked in relation to its GDP.
Overall 22 countries are represented in the top 200 list, which draws upon data from the 800 universities from 70 countries in the overall THE World University Rankings.
